We need to raise some thing in the reign of £250 does anyone have ideas for fund raising.
I thought of a tournament of Warhammer, 40K or some other table top with an entry fee and a prize of a games workshop voucher of 5 or 10 pounds depending on the money raised.
A theme night at the Union. It does not even have to have anything to do with Hobbits. It just needs to make money.
Celebrate Hobbits birthday but we will need to find out when it was founded. Hopefully Dave or Phil can find that out if they don't know.

In all honesty I reckon the Tourney has more legs than a theme night at the Union.
Generally speaking there are only a few themes people will turn up for and pay door money and the Union's probably doing most of those themselves. Other clubs must have this problem surely.

I would say a tournament is best with a fairly good prize, it would have to be a good prize. £5-10 isn't worth it. Atleast £20 and it becomes worthwhile. Potentially charge a £5-10 to enter.
Would need to see how many folk are interested. If Colin, Matt, Phil, Dave, Ray, & I , then it may be feasable. I would say if 10 people are willing then it can certainly be a go go.

The tournament sounds like a good idea.
We could also take money for CONDEMNATION and at condemnation...have re-rolls that cost money.
(I should probably open a new thread about Condemnation)

I would like to say that there is planning in the works for a Warhammer Fantasy & Warhammer 40k Tournament.
Nothing as of yet is set in stone. However if anyone is interested please put your name forward.
