Wanting to know if any one has played this yet?
It's a system created by an idependant company. I found out about it last year at glasgow uni's anual games convention which they use to raise funds for there gaming society. It's a system that uses d6's (although not a typical d6 system) what ever I type to describe the system after this point isn't going to do it much justice at all. All I can tell you is it is very enjoyable.
Essentially you take the rolls of ancient human like race called the Ven. The Ven are a culture that like theatre mixing romance and violence to create epic stories ect. The players take on the roll of a Ven noble which belongs to one of the 6 noble houses. The game's setting is largely generated by the players with the gm (known as a narrator in the game) serving only to throw things into the mix from time to time and award things.
When it comes to rolls, the player gets a pool of dice which they can then set a few aside as wagers (I'll explain these later) as all they need to roll on there d6's is a total of 10 to suceed. The player if a contested roll with the highest result gets to describe a free aspect of the world, scene, fight, event ect then any wagers they set aside are used for one additional aspect althought only 1 aspect as it goes around the players involved clockwise. Any players above 10 who set aside wagers half the wagers rounded up and that's how many aspects they get. Any who get bellow 10 lose all wagers and don't get to decide any aspect of the scene.
Aspects could be good or bad. You may even decided to have yourself fail an action only to have something dramatic happen to your character as the result of such a failure.
It's a system that really works bettern the more players there are due to it's heavy character/player based system the more idea's flowing around the table help increase the story and enjoyability of the game.
There are far more things to the system than what is noted above but it's early hours of the morning and I'm half asleep...been up all night at a friends Zombie killing...
