I think we should look into this but at the same time if we were 2 seperate societies the funding we recive may be higher as we have 2 smaller slices of pie that may work out bigger than one big slice also we need to rase our profile with SAUWS so far we have not raised much if any money at all for the pot we are so happy to take from we need to change that from now on.

Every Club has to get a slice of the money pie our slice may not grow at all if we merge. I don't know all the ins and outs of SAUWS but I will be looking into them as the club will have a bigger cut if we run things properly.

It's not all about the money and the budget for TCS will be included into our budget. I do not honestly know if they do give money out for cards as this is seen as personal property....
....they will for example not give us money for models for 40k etc.
Point is that the merger is for getting more members and including these people in Nationals. It can also encourage more card gamers in our own society...I know that Craig plays and others.

I don't really see the need for this merger. The argument for it seems to be that card gamers in the Hobbits get to play card games and those in the cards society get to do Hobbity stuff. Neither club is mutually exclusive though, so why does there need to be a merger so that, for example, Craig can play cards? I consider myself a Hobbit, I've been here long enough after all, but I also frequently attend the card society as well. I have also made sure that the card gamers know about the nationals too, and passed on the suggestion that they could attend with us (their budget permitting). With that in mind, is there really much point to a merger?

Yea i agree with this, its better to have many clubs than one big club, gives people more choice. I play cards unfortunately cant make thursday for the card gamers club, is this merger to benefit the clubs or is it just to get more members?

As Steven has said he has talked to the Trading card games society and they have decided not to merge but to look after one another.
