so Marcs mighty dwarfs against my skaven. with the mass number dwarfs easily took first turn and took 4 wounds of a doomwheel, the other cannon blowing up and he shuffled the units up slowly (possibly in a drunken stupor).
the skaven moved up keeping the main force outside the organ guns range and putting the mortars in range of his units, both doomwheels got bout 11" down the flanks, magic didn't exist as everything was out of range and a 4PD vs 6 DD wasn't good. so the shooting phase both doomwheels failed restraint and shot sum giant rats, 1 unit fleeing then causing another unit of giant rats to flee (stupid rats). the mortar all either scattered or misfired with the result 3-4. catapult scattered away. and the only piece of working artillery being the warp lightning cannon which made a perfect shot on the remaining cannon and wiping it from the field. which in turn made a unit of warriors and Ironbreakers to flee (yes actual fleeing at ld10 really bad rolling)
dwarf turn again moved up Ironbreakers rallied warriors didn't but only ran 2" so still around. organ guns killed a weapon team and sum giant rats.
skaven moved forward fast seeing the fleeing dwarfs feeling their confidence rising. one giant rat unit rallied the other not so much. from magic warp lightning was cast with the dwarfs easily dispelling it. shooting caused a few wounds here and their nothing note worthy. doomwheels again killed sum rats.
warriors rallied, booo hiss!! an attempted charge on doomwheel Ironbreakers roll snake eyes. both organ guns fire at plague furnace, one misfire with not shooting this turn or next. the other putting a wound on the priest and 4 on the furnace.
doomwheels both die one from misfire during shooting, the other cant remember. giant rats charged the organ gun on the right (who was dwarfed by Paul). plague furnace charges the lords unit. magic again didn't exist, cannon blew itself up as did a mortar. combat saw the monks and plague banner destroying the whole unit leaving the lord on snake eyes to hold, alas he fled and was caught bringing my monks into combat with the organ gun that'd misfired. Organ gun against rats saw 2 crew die as did 2 rats and a single Dwarf (Paul) holding.
warriors and Ironbreakers charged a clanrat unit easily wiping them out. organ gun lost to monks and Paul drew with the rats
monks turned around, i decided to charge the bsb unit with my bsb unit and another unit of clanrats, magic was allowed to get plague off n forgot that all units in combat are affected so i lost 24 clanrats 2 unit champions and a wound on my warlock. he lost 2 long-beards i think. combat saw my units whittled down to just 10 left in each but they held. shooting the warriors and Ironbreakers but causing only a few wounds. and again Paul held against the rats.
Ironbreakers charged a unit of giant rats, easily killed them all and overran into another unit of giant rats.bsb units won but faild to catch either unit of clanrats. Paul survived again!*?!
final turn saw my furnace attempt a charge on the bsb unit but they fled so no killing their, plague was cast and picked off half a dozen dwarfs across the board and again giant rats were killed by the Ironbreakers but more importantly Paul killed a rat and they fled . so the game ended with Marc winning with a 536 vp advantage.
things i learnt were that against dwarfs really need to focus my fire power on one unit at a time.
organ guns hurt like F***!
apparently naming a dwarf Paul makes him Indestructible or invulnerable(their was an argument dunno who won)
